Jett Lawrence 2020 Supercross Rookie Intro
Cycle News Staff | December 24, 2019
Jett Lawrence will enter the 2020 AMA Supercross series as a 250SX class rookie. The GEICO Honda team rider raced a few Lucas Oil Pro Motocross races this past summer and showed good speed. He then competed at the AUS-SX Open in his home country of Australia in November and finished fourth overall with 4-3-2 moto scores. With the backing of the GEICO Honda team, now co-owned by three-time Supercross champion Ryan Dungey, and training with 1984 Supercross champion Johnny O’Mara, many are predicting that the younger of the two Lawrence brothers racing 250SX in 2020 will be a podium threat.
Thanks to Yoshimura for providing the video below with a behind the scenes chat with Jett:
The team has not confirmed if Jett will race the 250SX west series, that will begin on January 4th in Anaheim, California or if he will ride the 250SX west series, which stars on February Tampa Bay, Florida on February 15th. Either way, we can’t wait to see where Jett Lawrence fits in.
