This is a press release from Isle of Man TT…
TT fans will have much more to savor away from the track in 2020 with the introduction of the TT Fan Park adjacent to the TT Grandstand in Noble’s Park. Open each day for 15 days, the Fan Park will be the place to be for the best TT entertainment from morning to night.
The Fan Park will be free to attend and will boast a packed schedule of daily content including chat shows, signings, competitions, award-winning live music and more. Fans will also be able to take in all the big screen action, attend the official prize presentations, indulge in the best street food, and grab a refreshing drink or two from the Trackside Bar.
Bursting into life on Saturday May 30th, the entertainment gets underway with the Party in the Park – a brand new event that will see riders and teams take to the stage to provide insight, analysis and gossip ahead of the first qualifying session. The Party in the Park will also include performances from two of the hottest bands to emerge from the north west in recent times: Glastonbury Festival’s Emerging Talent competition winners, She Drew the Gun, and fellow Merseysiders, The Mysterines.
Sunday 31st marks the beginning of qualifying and the action on the track will be complemented by two weeks of motorcycling chat and insightful commentary, as our presenting team are joined daily by the TT’s leading riders, team bosses and special guests. There will also be plenty of opportunity throughout the fortnight for fans to meet their TT heroes with competitions and signing sessions promising unrivaled access to the stars.
Fans can even share in the celebrations this year, as the prize presentations for all TT Races will now be held in the Fan Park. Set to be a hugely popular feature throughout race week, the presentations will culminate with the Champions Presentation on the afternoon of Saturday June 13th, bringing the curtain down on TT 2020 in fitting style.
Before that, however, there’s the small matter of the racing, and TT 2020 will boast an unbeatable amount of in-depth analysis from our team of radio pundits and experts. Fans will be able to catch it all live in 2020 by visiting the Fan Park’s Studio Stage, which will host all the live radio shows throughout the fortnight, previewing and reviewing all the day’s action with some of the TT’s biggest stars.
There’s plenty more action for bike fans on the big screen too, with some of the most memorable TT races of the past playing out daily as well as nightly live screenings of this year’s TT magazine and highlights shows, courtesy of ITV4.
There’s more entertainment back on the Main Stage too, as the live music continues over the weekend of Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June. Boasting a number of prestigious awards and nominations between them, fans will be treated to unmissable performances from festival favorites, Elephant Sessions and William the Conqueror.
There’s more for music fans each evening too, with the Studio Stage hosting nightly sets from the TT’s own House DJs. Evan Campbell and all-girl duo Mami Miel will be spinning the best music from the world of disco, house, hip-hop, electro, chart and much more, creating individual and distinctive night’s of musical brilliance.
With the Fan Park promising events and entertainment morning to night, fans can easily keep themselves re-fueled with a superb range of local artisan food and drink and colourful street food available from the on-site vendors. There’s plenty of refreshing drinks on tap as well, as the TT’s official bar, The Trackside, moves into the Fan Park arena. Offering a wide range of draft beers, ciders, wines and spirits, it’s the perfect spot for fans to quench their thirst with a spectacular view of stage and a spectacular view of the racing.
