Portland, OR (July 23, 2019) – Gates drop for Round 9 of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship series on Saturday as the Pacific Northwest racing tradition returns with the MotoSport.com Washougal National in Washougal, WA.
MotoSport.com continues its deep investment in the greatest racing series in the world serving for the second year in a row as title sponsor of the 2019 Washougal Motocross National. The #1 powersports retailer of parts and gear also has the role of Official Online Retailer for the 12-round series and as Holeshot Sponsor. MotoSport, which keeps corporate offices in Portland, OR, less than an hour from the Washington state-based track, has been actively involved with Motocross for years and routinely holds ride days at Washougal MX Park.
“We love the Washougal track and not just because it’s right in our backyard,” said Darren Green, Director of Marketing for MotoSport. “Washougal is considered one of the most scenic tracks on the circuit and we are proud to not only call it home but to sponsor and have an enormous presence there every year during the Nationals.”
Expect MotoSport employees out in force on Saturday greeting fans and customers all around the track grounds and by “The Triple” where the company plans to set up camp. MotoSport considers “Washougal Week” as their Superbowl and will have a presence at the track prior to the Round 9 gate drop during Amateur Riding Days where some staff members might trade their desks in for their dirt bikes and give it a shot against all the local fast riders.

The 2019 Washougal National takes place Saturday at Washougal MX Park in Washougal, WA where an estimated 27,000 race fans are expected to watch the likes of two-time defending Champion Eli Tomac, two-time Champion Ken Roczen and perennial challenger Marvin Musquin mix it up. Washougal MX Park is built into the natural landscape and nestled in between tall fir trees giving riders a significant challenge as they weave in and out of the shadows. Washougal held its first Motocross round in 1980 and represents one of the longest running Outdoor National.
