Barber Small Bore Event 2019
Cycle News Staff | May 11, 2019
Barber Motorsports Park is arguably one of the finest road racing circuits in the United States and also boast an amazing motorcycle museum. On June 7-9, the premium facility will keep it simple with the Barber Small Bore Event, presented by MNNTHBX.
The Barber Small Bore Event is the next evolution of the hugely popular Smoky Mountain Crawl. The Crawl started in Townsend, Tennessee in 2015 with about 200 riders and by 2018 grew to 1000+ riders with some very cool Small Bore focused events, vendors and fun. Over $31,000 was raised for charitable causes and it was time to look for a new venue that can handle the huge growth. The 800+ acre Barber Motorsports Park should prove to be a great location for this event.
There will be plenty of racing, both on the pavement and in the dirt. The Creek Bottom Classic is limited to street bikes 200cc or less and has a moto of “bring the wrong tool for the job…NO DIRT BIKES”. That sounds like fun. There will also be a dragstrip, Gymkhana course, grass games, bike show and lots of vendors. The Birmingham area also includes a lot of great roads and attractions.
So if you live anywhere near the South Eastern US and like to have a good time with little bikes, join the fun. You can get more Barber Small Bore Event info here: https://www.barbermuseum.org/events/barber-small-bore/
