2019 RCM A16-004 First Look—If you’re into the retro/custom superbike scene, you’ll doubtless have heard of AC Sanctuary. The Japanese custom house has built a formidable reputation for recreating bikes like the Kawasaki Z1 900 and Honda CB1100R for the new millennium, using the originals as a base to produce some truly stunning machines.

Come on, admit it. You want one of these, don’t you?

The quality of fabrication that goes into this machine is nothing short of staggering. Such as been the demand for the discerning, well-heeled customers that AC Sanctuary now has their own U.S. subsidiary in Gardena, CA, named RCM USA—which stands for Radical Construction Manufacture. These motorcycles are strictly made to order, creating a brand-new frame, fitting top-shelf Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, and lightweight 17-inch OZ Wheels and thoroughly working over the air-cooled powerplant.

This particular model is RCM A16-004—a 1045cc, fuel-injected beast with 99 hp on tap and pushing 423 lb (the red, high-barred version is RCM A16 007). And for those of you going to the Long Beach International Motorcycle Show, you’ll be able to see this in the metal as the Japanese garner publicity for their new venture in Southern California.

We’ll (hopefully) be getting our hands on one of these stunning machines to test soon in Cycle News, so stay tuned.
