2019 MV Agusta F4 Claudio First Look—You can always count on MV Agusta to pull out something special every now and then. With a cluttered history of one-off F4’s including the gorgeous F4 Ago and F4 CC (Claudio Castiglioni), we can now add another to that list in the delectable F4 Claudio. Yes, another tribute to former MV Agusta owner Claudio Castiglioni.

Based heavily off the F4 RC, the production machine that’s been used by Jordi Torres and formerly Leon Camier in the WorldSBK Championship, the F4 Claudio uses a slightly modified version of the Corsa Corta inline four-cylinder motor to punch out a claimed 212 hp at 13,450 rpm and 85 ft-lb of torque at 9300 rpm at the crank in race trim, with the street spec knocking that back only slightly to 205 hp (torque for street spec was unnamed).
Inside the motor sits titanium conrods, a rebalanced and lightened crankshaft, different compression rings, revised intake ports, and DLC-treated cam followers. The gearbox gets up and down quickshifting and a wet STM slipper clutch. The exhaust comes from SC-Project with a laser-engraved “Claudio” written on the mufflers.
The electronics come with four riding modes in Normal, Sport, Rain and Custom, which allows you to change any parameter you like with traction, throttle response and engine braking. Traction control is an eight-stage unit, and you get race-specific units like the AIM dash with full data logging and integrated GPS, allowing you to dial in specific traction control parameters at different points of the track, just like the Aprilia RSV4’s APRC system. And it’s all accessed by buttons on the handlebar just like Torres’ racebike.

The chassis is the same as the F4 RC, with a steel trellis design mated to Ohlins NIX 30 TiN-coated forks up front and an Ohlins TTX36 shock out back.
Carbon fiber has been used extensively with the F4 Claudio. All the bodywork comes in carbon, as do the stunning gold-flake BST wheels. Brakes are the same as the Ducati Panigale V4 in the Brembo Stilema four-piston calipers clamping on Brembo T-Drive fully floating discs.
MV Agusta is claiming a dry weight (not wet) of 403 lb for the new F4 Claudio, with a price of… $83,000.
