2018 Vegas To Reno BITD Results

Not long after crossing the finish line, Jacob Argubright headed straight to the hospital where he needed a number of stitches to close the wound on his horribly gashed arm.
It wasn’t the way he expected to end up after winning the 22nd General Tire Vegas to Reno, Presented by Fox, in Beatty, Nevada, August 17, with teammate Max Eddy Jr., but he savored the victory nonetheless, something the Chidester Transport Racing Yamaha rider’s chased for three years while Eddy’s sought it for 15.
“Third time’s the charm,” Argubright quipped.
First to the finish, however, was the Cooper Motorsports 747 entry of Brody Honea, who partnered with Vegas-to-Reno first-timers Ross Neely and Justin Wallis, team regular Tallon Taylor having to sit out due to injury. First off the line in Beatty at 5:45 A.M., they’d battled back and forth with Argubright/Eddy as well as the last-minute entry of Chris Brown/Shane Esposito, ending up second on corrected time, though that was sufficient to clinch the series championship.
Argubright/Eddy’s unofficial finishing time for the 530 miles was eight hours, 36 minutes and 16.3 seconds with a five-minute speed zone penalty leaving the Honea/Neely/Wallis team at 8:43:06.9. Brown/Esposito came from starting last Open Pro to unofficially lead on adjusted time at one point, ultimately settling for third in 8:45:19.4.
Complete results to come.
