Jason Anderson Injured In Midweek Crash – Jason Anderson will unfortunately sit out much of the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship after suffering an injury, Thursday, May 31.

Anderson (Rockstar Energy Husqvarna) was training on an open practice day at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, when he and another rider tangled, resulting in Anderson suffering a broken foot, which required immediate surgery.
Anderson, the recently crowned 450 supercross champion, is currently tied for third in the outdoor nationals with Justin Barcia in the 450MX championship. He and Barcia trail championship leader Eli Tomac by 27 points, and runner up Marvin Musquin by just 13 points. Anderson’s best moto finish so far was second place in the second moto last week at Glen Helen. If all goes well, Anderson could be back on the starting gate for the Unadilla, New York, round of the championship on August 11.

Just weeks after he claimed the 450SX Championship, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Jason Anderson sustained an injury Thursday morning during practice motos at Glen Helen Raceway. Two days before the Thunder Valley National in Lakewood, Colorado, Anderson took off aboard his FC 450 Rockstar Edition for a standard practice session. While riding, Anderson collided with another rider resulting in a compound fracture to his right foot which required surgery. The expected recovery time is four to six weeks. Without complications, he is looking to return to the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at the Unadilla National on August 11th.
