2018 Winter Classic Hare & Hound Results – Taylor Robert toughed it out to grab the overall win at the opening round of the 2018 Kenda/SRT AMA Hare & Hound National Championship Series, Presented by FMF, in Ridgecrest, California, at the Spangler Hills Off-Highway Vehicle Area, January 27-28.

Robert showed up for the race less than 100 percent, having suffered major injuries a few weeks earlier while preparing for the 2018 season. “I have five plates in my face and I still have stitches in my gums so I was just in pain the whole time,” the FMF/KTM Team rider said after the race.
Robert had to come from behind after botching the start, but he was leading the way when it matter most—at the end. Robert took the checkered flag 30 seconds ahead of Chidester Transport Racing Yamaha’s Jacob Argubright.
Argubright had to fight off Honda-mounted Kendall Norman (Brett Saunders/Pro Circuit/Alpinestars CRF450X) the whole way; only six seconds separated the two at the finish line.
Crossing the finish line a short time later in fourth on the Purvines Racing Yamaha was Nick Burson, while Beta’s Joseph Wasson, who at one point led the race, rounded out the top five overall.
