2018 Greensboro Arenacross Results – Babbitt’s Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Gavin Faith and Jacob Hayes traded main-event wins in round four of the 2018 Amsoil Arenacross Series, but it was Faith who sealed his third win of the season.
2018 Greensboro Arenacross Results
Faith and home favorite Hayes tied on points at the end of the two main events, but Faith had won the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC Head 2 Head Challenge earlier in the night which pays a single point to the winner. That single point made all of the difference in the world for Faith, as it broke the tie between Faith and Hayes for the overall win of the night.
Hayes led most of the first of two main events, while Faith gave chase. Things were going well for Hayes until late in the race when they started getting into lapped traffic. At one point, it got so crowded on the track that Hayes was forced to single a double jump that Faith was able to clear.
This put Faith into the lead which he was able to hold to all the way to the finish. Hayes ended up second, followed by TiLube Rockford Fosgate Honda’s Chris Blose. Gared Steinke was fourth and Shane Sewell fifth.
Like the first race, Hayes was able to get out in front early but this time he had clear sailing the whole way and went on to win the race ahead of Faith, Blose, Daniel Herrlein and Steinke.
However, it was Faith’s night as he captured the overall win, with Hayes taking second and Blose third.

In the Arenacross Lites East-class main event, Honda rider Heath Harrison took the win, but for while, it looked as though it was going to be Carter Halpain’s race.
Halpain pulled the holeshot and led for a while before stalling his bike and handing the lead over to Harrison. Halpain (Yamaha) ended up third, followed by Tanner Stack (Yamaha), TJ Albright (KTM) and Hunter Hilton (Kawasaki).
Harrison is the new class leader in the championship. He currently enjoys a three-point lead over Isaac Teasdale, who was sixth on the night. Halpain is eighth in the championship.
