2018 Glendale 250cc Supercross Results: There’s a tight points race at the front of the 250cc Western Regional Supercross Series, and after a pretty awful race a week ago at Anaheim 2, Monster Energy/Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Aaron Plessinger took back over at the top of the championship with a dominant performance inside University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy got the start at the beginning of the main event, then came under attack from TLD/Red Bull KTM’s Shane McElrath, who took over the lead for a while until he was joined by Plessinger, who was coming through the top part of the field like a freight train. After a few laps working on McElrath, he finally made the pass stick, and as McElrath attempted to retaliate, Plessinger cut over on his long-time racing compatriot and they nearly collided. McElrath was incensed, but Plessinger got away.

It wasn’t long before McElrath came back under fire from Savatgy, but the Kawasaki pilot had a tipover and handed third spot to his teammate Adam Cianciarulo. Through the final laps, Cianciarulo gained steadily on the lead pair of racers, but ran out of time and settled for third behind winner Plessinger, and McElrath.
