2017 Poland FIM SuperEnduro World Championship Results – Taddy Blazusiak made his return to racing a winning one after topping round of the 2017-2018 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in his home country of Poland, December 9. In the three-race format, Blazusiak wasn’t quite able to a nab a victory, but his 2-2-2 results was more than enough to top AMA EnduroCross Champion Cody Webb, as well as defending SuperEnduro World Champion Colton Haaker.

Haaker was making his return to racing after a lengthy elbow injury kept him out of much of the 2017 AME EnduroCross Championship and he came roaring back with a win in Superpole, but, unfortunately for him, he struggled in the three main events and ended up tied for fifth overall. His best finish was third in the final race.
Webb was arguably the fastest rider of the night, coming from behind in races one and three to take the wins, but misfortune caught up with him in the second race when he got caught up in a multi-rider first-turn pile-up. He ended up fifth in the race, but his 1-5-1 result was good enough for second overall.
“Obviously I’m happy and satisfied with this result in front of my home fans!” said the winner, Blazusiak. “It’s amazing to re-live such emotions here in Krakow again one year on. I never thought of going back to competition. I tried to cut out riding while remaining involved in the sport but the pull just got stronger and stronger.
“This result is still a little unexpected for me.”
“[I’m] satisfied with my evening on a tricky circuit with a very soft ground!” said Webb. “I know I have speed but I made some mistakes that cost me dearly, especially during the second final where I wondered if I was going to be able to make up what I lost after the gigantic crash on the first corner! However, I started my season well and I am only two points off Taddy.”
Third overall was Great Britain’s Bill Bolt who was making his debut as a Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Team rider.
