Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 Concept First Look

Husqvarna rounds out EICMA with their ultimate urban street tracker.
Husqvarna’s run at EICMA 2017 concluded with the unveiling of the Svartpilen 701 Concept. Compared to the Vitpilen range, which is essentially the same style in either 401 or 701 guise, the Svartpilen 701 Concept is much more the hardcore urban street tracker, with seriously edgy design and a KTM 690 motor to boot.
“The SVARTPILEN 701 concept machine is a dark street explorer that is free of excess and reduced to its simplest form,” says Husky’s PR on the Svartpilen 701. “This machine aims to appeal to a new generation of motorcyclists and those preferring a simpler, timeless design approach. As accessible as a motorcycle can be, it’s a modern and innovative naked bike waiting to offer a raw and exhilarating experience on two wheels.”
Sounds tasty.
There’s not much more detail on the Svartpilen other than we know it’s got the same chassis as the Vitpilen 701 with the obvious wheel and bodywork/handlebar changes, but when we get a more detailed spec from Husqvarna, we’ll share it with you.
