Press Release | September 27, 2017
Action packed indoor off-road racing coming to the mile-high city.
This is a press release from EnduroCross…
Irvine, CA (September 27, 2017) – Round three of the 2017 AMA EnduroCross series will be in Denver this weekend. The National Western Complex is one of the favorite stops on the tour with the riders as the large floor and good dirt make for a challenging and fun track. FMF KTM’s Cody Webb and Rockstar Husqvarna’s Colton Haaker are locked in a fierce battle for the championship lead. Haaker took the round-one win in Las Vegas a few weeks back and then Webb fired back to take the round-two win in Reno this past weekend.
Webb holds a small two-point lead over Haaker as they head into Denver and the two rivals have been very aggressive so far, with each rider hitting the ground a few times after contact. So be ready for more fireworks between these two this weekend.
Webb and Haaker are the current top dogs, but there are several other riders sticking their noses into the battle for the podium spots. SRT backed Kyle Redmond, an EnduroCross veteran, led most of the race in Reno and finished second, just ahead of Haaker. And Redmond’s young teammate, Trystan Hart, has third- and fourth-place finishes so far in 2017. Add in RPM KTM’s Ty Tremaine, GasGas-backed Noah Kepple and Geoff Aaron and Purvines Yamaha’s Cooper Abbott and you have a recipe for some exciting racing. Don’t miss it!
EnduroCross includes a class for everyone with the Amateur, Vet, TrialsCross, Women’s and Super EnduroCross (Pro) classes. And for 2017, there is an Amateur B Main, which allows more riders to make it into the night show. So if you want to give it a shot yourself, now is the time to sign up.
