Baker, third in the 2017 American Flat Track Championship, suffered a broken jaw while training during the week on his mountain bike. He plans to make the next round–the last race of the 2017 AFT Championship–at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California, October 7.
The 2013 GNC champ, Baker, is just 23 points ahead of Sammy Halbert in the race for third place in the 2017 championship. Baker currently trails runner-up Bryan Smith by 28 points.
