Road To Race Episodes 1-3 By Honda Racing

The 2017 CBR1000RR SP2 features in a new series by Honda Racing.
The 2017 season has not been a happy one for the brand new Honda CBR1000RR SP2. It has fallen short of expectations in WorldSBK in the hands of Stefan Bradl and the late Nicky Hayden, and is yet to take a win in the Endurance World Championship or the British Superbike Championship.
It was also involved in two huge accidents for star Isle of Man TT riders John McGuinness and Guy Martin, both caused by mechanical failures.
Nevertheless, Honda is determined to push on and get the CBR1000RR SP2 into the winner’s circles around the globe and they have released a cool little series of videos detailing the bike’s journey from production bike to a full blown racer in Road To Race.
Episode One deals with the CBR’s arrival at the Honda Racing UK’s headquarters in Louth; Episode Two shows the team testing at Monteblanco in Spain and Episode Three shows the team competing during the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans.
As it stands, the bike has a lot to do to live up to the lofty expectations set by the previous Honda CBR1000RR, but this is Honda—the world’s biggest and most powerful motorcycle manufacturer—so you can bet your bottom dollar they will get this bike into Victory Lane eventually.
We will feature future episodes of Road To Race as they are released by Honda UK.
