Alex Martin Out For Washougal: TLD/Red Bull KTM’s Alex Martin went down on Tuesday while practicing in Florida and injured his collarbone and scapula in his shoulder, according to the race team. The team says he will be out for Washougal this weekend and then have his shoulder re-evaluated by a second doctor to figure out how long he’s going to be out.

Alex Martin – “AMart” – is currently second in the 2017 Lucas Oil/AMA 250cc Pro Motocross Championships, 43 points behind points leader Zach Osborne, and AMart was having a fantastic year all-around. Up to this point, his worst moto finish of the year was seventh-place (High Point), he had one sixth-place (Glen Helen), and he’d been inside the top five in every single other moto so far in 2017, including a win in moto one at Thunder Valley, and five other moto podium finishes.
With AMart out, his brother, GEICO Honda’s Jeremy Martin (“JMart”), is the de facto second-placed man in the points, and he sits fully 20 points behind AMart, and 63 behind Osborne.
