SX Qualifying Update, Bogle Out: Defending champ Ryan Dungey and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Zach Osborne topped qualifying at the New Jersey Supercross this afternoon. Dungey barely edged out his Red Bull KTM teammate Marvin Musquin for the top spot, and Osborne’s 450cc teammate Dean Wilson came in a very close third behind the two KTMs. Points leader Eli Tomac, of the Monster Energy Kawasaki team, qualified fourth, over a half-second behind title rival Dungey, while Monster Energy/Yamalube/Chaparral Yamaha’s Cooper Webb was fifth in qualifying only 5/100ths behind Tomac.
Behind them came Honda’s Cole Seely in his first race back since injuring his leg in Seattle, followed by Tomac’s teammate Josh Grant, Wilson’s teammate Jason Anderson, Ride365.com Suzuki’s Malcolm Stewart, and the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC KTM duo of Davi Millsaps and Blake Baggett.

In the 250cc East, Osborne topped the charts easily – the only 250cc racer in the 51-second range – in qualifying over Yamalube/Star Racing Yamaha’s Dylan Ferrandis, points leader Joey Savatgy, Savatgy’s Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki teammate Adam Cianciarulo, GEICO Honda’s Christian Craig, JGR Suzuki’s Kyle Cunningham, TLD/Red Bull KTM’s Jordon Smith, and the rest of the field.

Also, we received the following release from the RCH Suzuki team, which already announced earlier this week that racer Broc Tickle would be out for 2 to 4 weeks:
Justin Bogle, rider of the No. 19 Suzuki RM-Z450 for RCH/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing, will not compete in today’s Monster Energy AMA Supercross at MetLife Stadium.
Bogle suffered a hard crash during the event’s second 450SX Class timed qualifying session while he was executing a flat 90-degree turn.
The Cushing, Okla., rider earned two top 10s this season and is currently 17th in Monster Energy Supercross points.
