(March 16, 2017) – The 2017 AMA KENDA/SRT National Hare & Hound series heads north to Murphy, Idaho next weekend for the 42nd annual Rabbit Creek 100! Hosted by Dirt Inc..
“We have teamed up with Dirt Inc. for many years now, and they continually host an event that is not to miss! We are really looking forward to seeing the Idaho locals jump into the mix as the chase for the 2017 NHHA Championship continues,” stated NHHA Director, Jacob Michna.
Changing it up from a fast and sandy round two in Alamogordo, New Mexico- the series ventures to the Owyhee Desert for some pretty spectacular trails, rocks and water crossings. After a very wet season in the region, those water crossings will be substantial, and damp dirt throughout the 110-mile course will make for a prime day on two-wheels. So come prepared!
Friday kicks off race weekend with sign-ups from 5pm-8pm (and again from Saturday 7am-10am/5pm-8pm, and Sunday from 7am-10am). The main feature on Saturday is the AMA KENDA/SRT National Hare & Hound Youth Series, which begins at 11am with a Rider’s Meeting on the start line at 10:45am. Please note: there are two races on Saturday for the Youth, (see flyer at bottom).
The NHHA is proud to introduce our partnership with Fasst Co. for the “Youth Hound Development Award”. The Youth Hound Development Award is meant to help groom the “hounds” of tomorrow by rewarding the first rider to catch the hare of each Youth race with a prize and offered contract of 50% off with Fasst Co. For round two, a Pro rider will be the featured hare and you can catch all the action on Saturday starting with Race 1, the Pee Wee race at 12pm!
