Full Gas Sprint Enduro Results South Carolina – Ryan Sipes battled Steward Baylor for the overall win at the opening round of the Kenda Full Gas Sprint Enduro Series, which got underway in Gaston, South Carolina, February 11-12. It was also a round of the AMA ISDE Qualifier Series. Sipes (Coastal Racing Husqvarna) dominated Sunday’s racing, but he went back and forth for the lead with Baylor on Saturday. When it was all over, Sipes ended up taking the overall win, 32 seconds ahead of Baylor (STR Racing/KTM).

On Saturday, Sipes and Baylor split wins in the six tests, Sipes topping all three of the cross tests and Baylor all three of the enduro tests. Sipes held just a four-second advantage over Baylor after Saturday’s conclusion.
On Sunday, though, Sipes won all six tests, claiming the overall win.
Baylor, on the other hand, finished second in all but the fifth test, where he suffered a hard crashed and damaged his bike. But he was able to finish out the test and finish out the weekend second overall.
Beta’s Jordan Ashburn just got faster and faster as the weekend progressed. He was fourth at the end of the first day but caught and passed Russell Bobbitt (FMF/KTM) on day two to take third overall. He made up a 17-point deficit on Bobbitt to get on the podium by just a few seconds.
Bobbitt finished out the weekend fourth overall, followed by Cory Buttrick (SRT Racing/KTM) who rounded out the top five overall.
Australia’s Tayla Jones came back to edge out fellow Australian Mackenzie Tricker to win the Women’s Pro class. Becca Sheets (KTM) was third overall.
Billy Schlag topped the Open A class, with Cole Mattison winning the Lites A division. Mattison was the top amateur rider overall.
