Press Release | February 24, 2017
The Gates Will Open at the Kirkland Ranch at Noon on Friday, and the Alligator Enduro main event is on Sunday, March 19.
This is a press release from National Enduro Series…
The Daytona Dirt Riders are hard at work prepping the course for the 67th running of the Alligator Enduro on March 19. Currently the conditions are dry so they have been able to lay out several sections of new trail on land that is usually is too wet to ride in. They will have a unique lay out this year looping back to the staging area after every section.
The gates will open at the Kirkland Ranch at noon on Friday, since this is a private ranch there will be a one time $10 change per vehicle, and you must be part of the event to stay overnight. Vehicles will be marked so you can come and go and not be charged again. Everyone must leave the ranch Sunday after the event.
A food vendor will be on site all week end, Moose Racing will have most of their clothing and accessories on display at their semi.
As at all of the 2017 National Enduro events, only the Pro, Expert-AA and Women’s Elite podium awards will be handed out at the event. All other awards will be personalized with the riders name and mailed directly to them.
The event is co-sanctioned with FTR so based on their rule book and the dry conditions ALL 4-strokes MUST have their exposed header pipe wrapped with exhaust header wrap to reduce the risk of fire if the bike falls in the brush.
KTM’s Mike Lafferty will once again be offering bike set-up tips on Saturday and pit assistance on Sunday.
