With the world’s motorcycle manufacturers going collectively mad over the scrambler segment right now, Triumph has decided to give its Scrambler a freshen up in the hopes of tackling Ducati, Moto Guzzi, BMW, et al.
The Street Scrambler gets a host of updates for the 2017 model year. The 900cc High Torque engine comes straight from the Bonneville and features a new twin scrambler-style exhaust in brushed stainless steel, Ride-by-Wire throttle, switchable traction control and ABS, and reworked styling that includes an interchangeable pillion seat and aluminum rear rack, aluminum headlight bracket and black headlight bezel, number boards side panels, a new front mud guard, removable pillion pegs, ‘Bear Trap’ adventure style front pegs and a bash plate.
The new Street Scrambler chassis comes with a revised riding position, longer rear shocks, wider handlebars, 19’’ front wheel, dual-purpose Metzler Tourance tires and uprated brakes.
There’s also new colors – Jet Balck; Matt Khaki Green; and Korosi Red and Frozen Silver with jet black hand painted coach lining and unique tank decals.
Triumph knows people are going to try and chop this thing up to make their own stance on the bike, so they’ve developed over 150 accessories to make the customizing process a little easier.
