Salt Lake City EnduroCross Victory To Cody Webb
Cycle News Staff | September 12, 2016
Defending EnduroCross Champion Cody Webb got on the board with his first win of the season at the Vivint Smart Home Arena in Salt Lake City, September 10. The FMF KTM rider got around Rockstar Husqvarna’s Colton Haaker, the winner of the first two rounds of the 2016 championship, on the second lap and steadily pulled away as they battled through out in the 15-lap race. Webb is now just one point behind Haaker, who finished second on the night, in the ’16 championship.

Third on the night was Haaker’s teammate Mike Brown, though he was pretty far back. But he was happy to finish off the night on the podium.
Gas Gas rider Geoff Aaron took fourth, followed by RPM KTM rider Ty Tremaine.
Five-time EnduroCross Champion Taddy Blazusiak had another disastrous night. He was involved in a bizarre incident when he crashed and got his handlebars stuck in pants. It took him a while to get untangled but also suffered an injury that put him out of the race.
Shelby Turner took her second win of the season in the Women’s main event on her KTM. Morgan Tanke challenged her the entire race distance and finished second on her Beta. Tarah Geiger took the final podium spot on her Honda.
Tyler Kinkade took the win in the amateur class over Steven Stultz.
In the Vet class, Jason Gitchel took the win over David Stirm and Richard Black. Anthony Johnson won the TrialsCross main over Roger Flud and Kaden Jenkins.
