New Berlin, NY (August 13, 2016) – Coming off a restful two-weekend break, Justin Hill led the way for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM team at the historic Unadilla National with a solid 5-4 moto result for fourth overall. His teammate Mitchell Oldenburg also put in a solid ride in sixth overall after finishing the day with an 8-9 moto score. Nelson, who’s still returning back to 100 percent, shined in the first moto but had to settle for 14th overall.
Hill made his return to racing just before the break, scoring fifth overall in Washington. This weekend, he pushed with the same speed he showcased at the end of July, keeping his KTM 450 SX-F inside the top five in both motos.
‘It’s great to come back and feel good, racing at the front,” said Hill. “I am really looking forward to keeping this up and finishing strong the next two rounds.”
Oldenburg, who has battled hard at every round this season and currently sits 10th overall, didn’t disappoint at Round 10. He got two good starts and put together consistent top-10 rides in both motos to finish just outside of the top five.
Nelson also started well in both motos and used that to his advantage in race one as he crossed the line in sixth place. Nelson went down in Moto 2 and was unable to finish the race. Updates on Nelson’s condition will be made on TroyLeeDesigns.com as they are available.
The series has just two rounds left with the penultimate round taking place next weekend at Budds Creek Raceway in Mechanicsville, Maryland on August 21.
The Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM riders were looking good in the GP Electro Blue and the SE Gravity Flo Yellow Racewear with the SE4 Pinstripe black helmet. See all of the 2016 gear sets and the 2016 Moto Helmets online and at your local TLD retailer.
