2017 Husqvarna FE Off-Road Dual Sport First Look
Cycle News Staff | June 9, 2016
Husqvarna took the wraps off and has given us a first look at its FE line of 2017 off-roaders. The FEs now make up the company’s dual sport line and have expanded it to four models: FE250, FE350, FE450 and FE501. The “S” designation of the previous dual sport range has been dropped for 2017. The previous dirt only FE models—the FE501 and FE350—have also been eliminated.
So, Husky is now offering three basic range of off-road bikes—the FX (four-stroke) and TX (two-stroke) closed-course (GNCC) range, TE two-stroke enduro, and FE (four-stroke) street-legal/enduro range.
The FEs are heavily changed, featuring new frames and motors based on the FC motocrossers that received big updates in 2016. The FEs feature composite carbon-fiber frames, WP Xplor 48 forks, and linkage rear suspension.
Husqvarna says the FEs will be available in the fall of 2016. Prices have yet been announced.
