Throwback Thursday: Eddie Mulder Nails the Start at the Ascot TT National (1969)

In this week’s Throwback was go to 1969 and the legendary Ascot Park in Gardena, California. This photo was from that year’s Ascott TT National. Eddie Mulder (12) grabs the holeshot on his Triumph at the start of the first heat race with Eddie Wirth (84), Mark Brelsford (87), Dick Mann (2), Grant Brown (128X) Bob Bailey (33), Gene Romero (20), Ralph White (15) and Mark Williams (70) giving chase. Mulder scored the heat victory over Mann and Brelsford. But in the main event it was Brelsford on the factory Harley-Davidson taking the win over Larry Wilburn and Romero.
