Watch MotoAmerica And World Superbike Racing April 30-May 1
Press Release | April 29, 2016
This is a press release from MotoAmerica…
WHAT: Exclusive live and same-day coverage of round three of the 2016 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Road Racing Championship and round five of the 2016 FIM Superbike World Championship
Round three of the MotoAmerica series heads to New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey, for the first of two visits this season to the 12-turn, 2.25-mile Thunderbolt Raceway.
Roger Hayden aims to hang on to his Superbike points lead following a pair of podium finishes for Yoshimura Suzuki at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia. Teammate Toni Elias, who has three victories to his credit, is second overall in points.
Four-time AMA Superbike Josh Hayes won both races last September at NJMP.
World Superbike, meanwhile, journeys to Imola for round five of the series. Jonathan Rea seeks to pad his championship points lead while American Nicky Hayden is out to improve on his first podium finish in the series two weeks ago at Assen.
In World Supersport, all eyes will be on another American, PJ Jacobsen, who hopes to rebound after crashing out of the last two rounds in the Netherlands and Spain.
Considered one of the most scenic stops on circuit, Imola winds riders around the Parco delle Acque Minerali, passing the Santerno River on the right at Tamburello before curving around Tosa and finishing with a tree-lined ride home around Rivazza.
