Impact of the Kumamoto Earthquake on Honda’s Production

Honda has halted production at its Kumamoto factory in the wake of two earthquakes that rocked southern Japan.
Honda stated in a press release that “production plans after April 28 will be determined according to progress in repairing the factory and component supply.”
In another press release, Honda expressed condolences to the victims of the earthquake:
Tokyo, Japan (April 18, 2016) – Honda would like to express its deepest sympathy and condolences to the victims of The 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake… Subsequent production plans will be determined according to facility restorations and component supply. Honda wishes the Kyushu residents the soonest recovery, and will put all our efforts into it.
