Woodcliff Lake, NJ – (April 1, 2016) For the first time, BMW Motorrad USA will roll out its demo truck and separate display at the upcoming MotoGP races, April 8-10, at Circuit of The Americas outside of downtown Austin, Texas. Attendees can sign up for demo rides at the demo truck.
The BMW Motorrad USA demo area display will showcase 2016 BMW motorcycle models and apparel. BMW Motorrad Motorsports advisor and factory test rider Nate Kern will also be on hand to share his expertise on the BMW S 1000 RR superbike. For up-close RR racing action, visitors can head to the track Paddock, where Nate – a former CCS national champion – will spend some time advising hopefuls, like California-native Steve Rapp, who will compete in the season opener of the MotoAmerica series on an S 1000 RR.
The BMW Motorrad USA display will also feature a 1975 BMW R75/6, which will be part of an upcoming raffle fundraiser to support the AMA Hall of Fame, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The 1975 BMW R75/6 has been customized by renowned bike builder Tony Prust from Analog Motorcycles in Chicago, Ill.
Modifications include a custom sub frame, Fox Street RC1 shocks, Race Tech Gold Valves, billet triple clamps and rider pegs, an engine refresh, aftermarket performance ignitions, updated electronics and wiring throughout, custom paint, new controls, new brake lines and more.
