Former AMA Pro road racing champ Danny Eslick had the charges against him for punching a police officer in Daytona Beach last week reduced from a felony to a misdemeanor. As part of the agreement Eslick will not be allowed to consume drugs or alcohol and be subject to urinalysis checks. He is also to enroll in an anger management program, this according to reports in the Daytona Beach News Journal.
Eslick was suspended by the AMA and not allowed to defend his Daytona 200 victory.
No word yet on when or if the suspension will be lifted. Eslick was slated to race MotoAmerica Superstock 1000 for the TOBC Racing Yamaha team in 2016.
