Throwback Thursday: Start of John Kocinski’s Domination
Larry Lawrence | January 28, 2016
John Kocinski stands atop the podium along with Donny Greene and his Nordica Roberts Yamaha teammate Cal Rayborn III after winning the AMA 250 Grand Prix race at Loudon in 1987. It marked the teenaged Kocinski’s first victory of the ’87 season and the start of three years of domination in the series by Kocinski. Of course JK went on to win the FIM 250 Grand Prix Road Race Championship in 1990. The Arkansas native was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame last year.
