New Smyrna Beach, FL (January 21, 2016) – Husqvarna Motorcycles has been pioneering in motocross since the beginning and is re-establishing the brand with exciting new models and racer-support programs. The inaugural JuniorMotoX, scheduled to take place on May 12-14, 2016 just north of Oklahoma City, will be a part of the 2016 Husqvarna Motorcycles contingency program.
“Although this will be the first-ever JuniorMotoX, we are confident that Eric Peronnard and his team will create a first class event,” said Jenna Parker, Husqvarna Motorcycles Marketing Manager. “We look forward to having Husqvarna riders competing for the podiums and earning contingency bonuses.”
“It has been great to see the resurgence of the Husqvarna brand over these past few years,” said Eric Peronnard, the co-creator of the JuniorMotoX. “We look forward to having Husqvarna involvement as we kick off the first JuniorMotoX this May”.
The JuniorMotoX will bring amateur racing to a new level with a Supercross-style course that is nearly 2000-feet long featuring some of the best dirt on earth. Jerry Masterpool will provide input on track design, which will include a separate lane featuring more challenging obstacles for the more experienced riders/classes.
