The extent of Adam Cianciarulo’s injury is unclear at this point – the Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider will return home to the U.S. for a full evaluation.
Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider Adam Cianciarulo was reportedly injured while competing in the Geneva Supercross in Switzerland. The 17-year-old suffered a crash in the rhythm section of the first SX2 main event on Friday night, and was taken out of the Palexpo Center on a backboard. Sources say he was taken to the hospital, where it was determined that he suffered a dislocated shoulder, and that a scan of his head and neck checked out okay.
At this time Cianciarulo is planning to get back to the U.S. for further evaluation before an official diagnosis is made. It is yet to be determined how long he will be out and if surgery will be necessary.
The usually candid Cianciarulo remains vague on his social media outlets, posting only an image that reads: “Fall seven times, stand up eight.”
