According to Wayne Gardner’s Twitter feed, the 1987 500cc World Champion’s 15-year-old son Remy will compete as a wild card in the Australian Grand Prix, October 17-19.

That means the young Gardner, the eldest of the two racing Gardner boys, will compete on the circuit that his father won on back in 1989 when the Australian Grand Prix made its debut at Phillip Island.

Remy Gardner has been competing in the Moto3 class of the Spanish CEV Championship with Team Laglisse Calvo.
