GEICO and EnduroCross enjoy eight-year partnership
Industry leader GEICO has re-signed as the title sponsor of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross Championship, fueled by Monster Energy and presented by Lucas Oil.
GEICO Insurance’s long history with EnduroCross started as a presenting sponsor in 2007, the first year the new sport became a multi-round series. Quickly, the GEICO team recognized the growth potential for the exciting indoor off-road race series and became title sponsor in 2008. The series has been known as the GEICO AMA EnduroCross ever since.
GEICO is an active partner in helping to expand EnduroCross, enabling the race series to visit more venues and cities. With GEICO’s support, two new venues have been added to the 2014 EnduroCross schedule, taking the series from seven to nine rounds of intense racing action.
“AMA EnduroCross is a fast-paced, high energy sport that embraces the competitive racing spirit,” said Ted Ward, GEICO vice president of marketing. “2014 marks the eighth year that GEICO has participated as a title sponsor, so we are excited to be a part of the EnduroCross Championship, which provides a great opportunity to connect with some very passionate race fans.”
“EnduroCross would not be where it is today without the support of GEICO,” said Lance Bryson, Director of Sales and Marketing for EnduroCross. “They have helped provide the support needed to add new venues over these past few years and we look forward not only to another great year in 2014, but our long term partnership”.
Las Vegas will again host the opening round on Friday, May 2, during the Monster Energy Supercross finals weekend. The traditional EnduroCross finals in November will now be held Nov. 22 in Ontario, Calif., The X Games Enduro X event in Austin, Texas, also will be included as a points-paying event for the GEICO AMA EnduroCross championship.
