Scorpion Partners with Defending Baja Champions, Warriors for Ox Racing
Press Release | February 28, 2014
Scorpion Sports, Inc. (SSI) is proud to announce its partnership with WFOx (Warriors for OX) Motorsports for 2014. Team owner/rider’s Colton Udall and Mark Samuels will be riding in Scorpion’s all new VX-R70 helmet for this upcoming race season.
“We developed the VX-R70 for the true off-road endurance rider,” states Scorpion’s Jayson Wickenkamp. “Colton and Mark have proven they know what it takes to win at the highest levels of racing…and defending #1x plate is proof of their commitment to excellence. We are excited about the synergy between our teams and look forward to working with them on future developments.”
Scorpion has spent the last 3 years developing the VX-R70 with the likes of four time Dakar Champion Marc Coma and a collection of World Endurance champions. Scorpion states that the VX-R70 destroys expectations of what a high-performance off-road helmet should be.
“Scorpion has built a helmet that fits our needs perfectly,” states Mark Samuels of WFOx Motorsports.”After testing the VX-R70 we knew this was the helmet we needed to be racing with.” Colton Udall also chimed in adding that “the R70 allows us to focus on what is most important: protecting the 1x plate by winning races.”
WFOx and their custom SplitDesignsCo.VX-R70 will be in action starting this weekend at the Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, Feb 27th- Mar 2nd. Follow Colton and Mark at http://wfoxmotorsports.com for updates and race results.
