Caselli Closes In With So Cal National H&H Win

Kurt Caselli kept his title hopes alive after winning the penultimate round of the 2012 AMA Hare & Hound National Championship in Lucerne Valley, California, October 14.
After a brief battle with rival, Kawasaki pilot David Pearson early in the race, Caselli went on to claim victory at the So Cal M.C. National, staged at the Johnson Valley OHV Area.
Pearson finished second. Although he saw his points lead over Caselli shrink from 13 points to eight, he can still wrap up the 2012 championship with a second-place finish at the series final, even if Caselli wins. But a third-place finish and a Caselli win would see the defending champ, Caselli, take the title for a second time.
Purvines Racing Kawasaki’s Nick Burson edged out teammate Justin Morrow for third, while KTM rider Ivan Ramirez rounded out the top five overall.
