Editorial: Kawasakis In Flat Track

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Harley-Davidson riders complaining after getting beaten on an AMA Grand National Mile by a Kawasaki smells a lot like four-week-old fish. It’s akin to a young New York Yankee complaining because they lost a game or two to the Minnesota Twins. Might want to check the record books, kiddo.

There have been exactly four victories by Kawasakis on anything other than a short track or TT in the last 40 years. Four. Since 1986 (when road racing was taken out of the AMA Grand National Championship), Harleys have won 319 AMA Grand National flat tracks. I’ll save you the math because I’m so good at it – that’s 315 more wins for Harley. Again, that’s since 1986. Kawasaki’s first win came in 2010.
