Editorial: What The Tweet Is Going On Here?
Paul Carruthers | February 28, 2012
The best definition of Twitter seems to be that it’s an “online social networking service and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based posts of up to 140 characters, known as “tweets.”
Naysayers may point out that it is really nothing more than a blogging site for bloggers with nothing to say. Me thinks there are already too many people out there who believe they have something to say that should work on keeping it to 140 characters or less. Simply put, if someone is full of crap, at least with Twitter it’s short and sweet. Blogs can go on for days. Same crap. Just more of it.
But I’m not here to praise Twitter for its usefulness nor condemn it as the scourge of society. I’m here to tell you that if you’re a fan of motorcycling, it’s worth a look. Or, more aptly, a follow.
