Press Release | July 27, 2011
Irvine, CA (July 27, 2011) – The 2011 GEICO AMA EnduroCross series, presented by Lucas Oil is about to kick into high gear with three events over the next five weeks. For the first time ever, EnduroCross will be part of X Games and take over the Staples center on Sunday, July 31st. There will be extensive TV coverage from ESPN to help broaden the awareness of the most exciting racing on two wheels. Just two weeks later (Saturday, August 13th), the top off road riders in the world will head up to the Pacific Northwest to Everett Washington for round two. This event will go back to a “normal” EnduroCross format and include Amateur, Vet and TrialsCross classes. Finally, on Friday, August 26th the EnduroCross riders will kick off the Indianapolis MotoGP weekend inside the Pepsi Coliseum.
“This is the most exciting schedule yet for EnduroCross” noted Mike Karsting, VP of events at Source Interlink. “We have three big events in three separate regions of the country so a lot of fans will get to see an event in person as well as follow them with great TV coverage”. If you want to watch some very exciting racing or participate yourself, you can get more information at www.EnduroCross.com.
Tickets for X Games 17 are available now at all Ticketmaster locations and the box office at STAPLES Center. Ticket information for the remaining EnduroCross events can be found at www.EnduroCross.com.
