Suzuki issued the first photos of the 2010 Rizla Suzuki GSV-R today, the bike that Alvaro Bautista will ride in this year’s MotoGP World Championship. The bike will again be clad in Troy Lee Designs-designed livery.Suzuki says the this year’s GSV-R, the last of the 800cc MotoGP bikes that Suzuki will build as the class moves back to 1000cc in 2012, is the most technologically advanced version the GSV-R with improved horsepower, driveability and durability obtained through many detailed development changes throughout winter and pre-season testing.Suzuki has also improved the chassis performance by significant developments to the stiffness balance of frame and swingarm and has optimized the weight-balance geometries from last season’s machine. These updates to the chassis have been paired with the most-advanced ECU software ever used on a Suzuki Grand Prix machine to give Bautista more precise traction and wheelie-control without losing direct machine control or power, according to Suzuki. The 2011 Rizla Suzuki GSV-R also features revised Troy Lee Designs-inspired livery that uses a new Rizla logo.
