Rain Washes Over Misano Qualifying

The rains that washed over the second qualifying session at the Misano circuit solidified Friday’s times as the basis for the Superpole session that will determine the grid for tomorrow’s eighth round of the World Superbike Championship.The rain began to fall in the prior Supersport session and continued throughout the Superbike session. BMW’s Troy Corser was the fastest in the wet.The result is that Ducati Xerox’s Michel Fabrizio will start Superpole last with Yamaha’s Ben Spies just before him.It also means that Kawasaki’s Jamie Hacking won’t get a chance to move into Superpole after qualifying 20th on Friday. Nor will Stiggy Racing Honda’s John Hopkins, who qualified 26th in his return to racing following hip injuries suffered in the Assen round.Qualifying:
