KTM’s Jordi Arcarons won today’s 405-mile stage of the Paris-Dakar Rally, topping overall leader Fabrizio Meoni by 57 seconds in the stage that included a 359-mile special test.
Meoni and his KTM, meanwhile, continue to lead the overall standings, with the Italian now 20 minutes and 16 seconds ahead of Arcarons.
Carlo de Gavardo, another KTM-mounted rider, remains third overall after finishing third in today’s stage.
American Jimmy Lewis ended today’s stage in eighth place and holds down sixth overall, two hours, 36 minutes and 28 seconds behind Meoni. Honda’s Johnny Campbell, meanwhile, was 11th in today’s stage and sits eighth in the overall standings.
