Sherco has released information on its complete line of off-road bikes for the 2019 model year.
The French company, which specializes in dirt bikes, including trials bikes, will offer at least seven primary displacement off-road models—three two-strokes and four four-strokes. The two-stroke line includes a 125, 250 and 300, and the four-stroke line a 500, 450, 300 and 250. Each displacement model is available in two ranges (enduro “SE” and cross-country “SC”) and in two levels—“Racing” and “Factory Edition.” Racing is the standard line and Factory Edition is the upgraded line that features higher-end suspensions and exhaust systems, plus smaller amenities. In addition, the company will be offering a “Baja Edition,” which it says will be “delivered in racing condition with standard parts kit.” This bike features an additional external fuel tank and other add-ons specific for racing in Baja.
The Racing line is fitted with WP suspension components (including WP XPLOR forks), while the Factory line gets KYB shocks and forks. The Factory four-strokes will feature Akrapovic exhaust systems, and both two-stroke lines—Racing and Factory—get FMF exhaust pipes, though the Factory Editions also get FMF mufflers.

In addition, the Factory models get blue Excel rims, Galfer racing brake discs, dual-material rear sprocket, skid plate, Neken handlebar pad, different graphics, a gripper seat cover, dual color Domino grips, a fan kit and an upgraded Lithium ion battery. The SC Factory models also gets stiffer suspension settings and no lighting.
As far as changes from 2018 to 2019, there are many for both the two-strokes and four-strokes. The 250 and 300 four-strokes feature a lighter clutch, updated cylinder head, revised intake and exhaust camshaft profiles, and larger valves. Sherco claims the 250 and 300 four-strokes have more torque at higher rpm. The 450 gets higher compression (11.8:1 to 12.3:1) and a re-balanced crank. The 250 also gets a bigger piston and a shorter stroke.
The 500 is a brand-new model, which is similar to the 450 but with a larger bore.
The 250 and 300 two-strokes get a new top-end with improved cooling and a reworked and more compact electronic powervalve. The clutch is also lighter, and there are new settings for the carburetor. Electronics have been significantly upgraded, as well. The 125 gets a new piston to improve engine reliability.
