Kawasaki revealed its 2018 lineup of KX motocrossers. Returning are the KX450F, KX250F, KX100, KX85 and KX65. Of the five bikes, only the KX250F received updates.
The 2018 KX250F features a new throttle body and fuel injector angle for increased torque feeling throughout the rpm range, a new fuel pump with increased output pressure, a new intake boot, a new intake camshaft, a new cylinder head with revised intake tract and compression ratio (13.4:1), and a new exhaust header with longer and larger piping.
Kawasaki says the new KX250F has improved power and torque throughout the rev range.
Suspension has updated setting “for better compliance.” The revised Showa 48mm Separate Function Front Fork is claimed to provide “greater precision over braking bumps and through corners.”
The updated shock provides “improved ride feel, traction, and increased rear-end feedback.”
The rest of the KX line is unchanged.
